Hortaibérica’s butterhead lettuce is one of the earliest varieties for direct cropping and tolerates low temperatures very well. It has a light green colour, medium-sized head and early maturity, which allows a quick response to supply needs. Thanks to its soft texture and mild flavour, it is widely used in salads and mixed leaf blends.
Grown both in greenhouses and in open field in the Estela, Póvoa de Varzim area, our butterhead lettuce is closely monitored at every stage of development to ensure uniform, well-formed plants. Harvesting is carried out at the right moment and the lettuce is quickly sent to the packing centre, ensuring freshness and consistency for the national and European markets.
