Hortaibérica’s vine tomato is a high-yielding variety, with fruits grouped in uniform clusters, ideal for the fresh produce shelf. The tomatoes have firm, fleshy pulp, an intense red colour and a well-balanced flavour, making them perfect both for fresh consumption and for cooking.
Grown in greenhouses and in open field in the Estela, Póvoa de Varzim area, our vine tomatoes are closely monitored from planting through to harvest. The choice of resistant varieties and careful control of irrigation and nutrition allow us to obtain homogeneous fruits with good post-harvest shelf life. After harvesting, the tomatoes go to the packing centre, where they are graded and prepared according to each client’s specifications for the national and European markets.
