
Hortaibérica’s courgette stands out for its excellent flavour and tender texture, being a variety that is practically seedless. The fruits are cylindrical, homogeneous and of similar size, which makes shelf presentation easier and is ideal for kitchen use, both in fresh dishes and in more elaborate culinary preparations.
Grown both in greenhouses and in open field in the Estela, Póvoa de Varzim area, our courgette is monitored from flowering through to harvest to ensure straight fruits with good colour and no defects. Harvesting is carried out at the ideal stage of development, ensuring firm yet tender flesh and an adequate shelf life. After harvesting, the courgettes are sent to the packing centre, where they are graded and packed according to the specifications of the national and European markets.
