Hortaibérica’s cucumber is a highly productive variety, with long fruits of around 20 cm and a uniform dark green colour. It has a good texture and fresh flavour, making it suitable both for use in salads and in other culinary preparations. Thanks to its regular shape, it has excellent presentation on the fresh produce shelf.
This variety is ideal for open field or greenhouse production, which allows a good adaptation to the growing conditions in the Estela, Póvoa de Varzim area. Harvesting starts from June and is planned to ensure a regular flow of product throughout the season. After harvesting, the cucumbers are selected, graded and packed according to the specifications of the national and European market.
